1998.
After nearly a decade of developing the brand, our people,
our customers; and as a direct result of customer demand, now have expanded into

The first branch of Café de la Paix,
after re-branding, to open is located in the newly inaugurated Al Wahda Mall in
June 2007.
This opening was followed by the second

Dhabi Civil Defence Department are applied throughout the design to guarantee efficient
utilisation of space, ergonomic efficiency, safety and hygiene.
Why ‘de la Paix’? 'La paix' is the French word that means ‘peace’ in English and ‘salaam’ in Arabic.
Peace is defined in the WS Smith Collins Dictionary as:“The state existing during the absence of war, a state
of harmony, absence of mental anxiety and a state of serenity.”
By choosing the name Café de la Paix for our chain of restaurants, we wanted to project a desire for a peaceful world.
In different countries around the world de la paix cafes, restaurants and hotels exist. The most famous café of all is Café de la Paix Paris, located in the Place de l'Opéra.
At Café de la Paix UAE, we offer our visitors an ambiance of peace very much reflected in our décor colours, menu, service, relaxing music and the harmony experienced by the many nationalities that frequent our restaurants.
We believe in providing the right setting for positive thoughts such as fighting poverty, disease and ignorance, and join hands with many of the great people who said beautiful words of wisdom in the domain of peace such as:
Helen Keller:
“The most pathetic person in the world is someone who has sight, but has not vision.”
Martin Luther King, Jr.: “Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a mean by which we arrive at that goal.”
Nelson Mandela:
“If you want to make peace without enemy, you have to work with your enemy. Then he becomes your partner.”
Mohandas Gandhi:
“If you love peace, then hate injustice, hate tyranny, hate greed. But hate these things in yourself, not in another.”
